Believe it :> I've had cases where XTRA (Part of Telecom) customers have
transferred to us and they haven't deleted any of the DNS info from their
servers, changed over mail accounts, deleted accounts and dial-ups when they
were simply suppose to transfer the domain name records :< And this is
common practise - believe me.

Other major ISP's leave you with the usual telephone answering machine
dancing game - press 1 for... press 3 for... press 123 for... if you know
the parties extension number please enter it now... then the phone hangs up

I've also seen some ISP's - one in particular where no-one on their network
could see a particular web site but if you were on any other ISP's network
you could - that took 10 days to resolve.
