Basically, the Cobalt wouldn't see the newer version and would
still use 5.05 for the GUI, correct?. The problem here is that I
can't do that, I am installing perl via Request Tracker (a trouble
ticket system) as a prerequisite to using their code. I do not
know if I can change the install directory for perl like that
without breaking something major, either in the install script or
in the program itself, after it's installed. I would really be
appreciative if someone can point out to me a good GPL'd trouble
ticket system, or a way to install RT (Request Tracker) without
installing the perl 5.6.1 dependency. -- Jonathan
