Re: [cobalt-users] NeoMail and RAQ 3

At 8:00 +0000 11/07/2001, Cobalt Support was thought to have said :

I noticed this on a RaQ4 we were testing - try going to control panel - disable the email server - wait a few seconds and turn it back on again then try Neomail.

Have searched the archive and the neomail archives also but still no real
joy to solving this problem.

Neomail 1.25 installed okay, accepts customers passwords and usernames
okay and loads.

Customer or myself generate an email and send - the following error
message appears

"Couldn't close sent-mail!"

Hi,

I posted this last week and got no responses so perhaps this never got onto the list. But, I find a solution that fixes this problem and was hopeing for the following. Can someone comment on this perhaps:

Hi,

I searched the archives nad found that no one had a solution to the Neomail Close X problem. Well this is what I came up with but it is an afterthought bandaid pain in the butt fix.

go to the /home/sites/www.domain.tld/users/username/ folder. do a ls -la and look at the permission on the mail directory. It has the correct user name but the groups is set to 'users'. The group for this file and all files inside should be set to the sites group which would be site(n) where (n) is the site number as designated by the RaQ. If you do a 'chgrp -R site(n) mail' then everything works great for that folder.

Since I am not too adept at the Linux configuration files etc, my question is - how do we fix this? Is there a preference in one of the configuration files that we can fix. It is kinda hard to go through every users folder under every domain and fix this.
