It might help you a lot to read about procmail

If you want to create autoresponders as an appliance operator(After all,
you are talking about a Cobalt...the servers for folks who don't want
to/have to know anything about systems-as it's marketted by Sun Cobalt):

send an email to procraq@xxxxxxxxxxxx

The autorepsonder there will send you blow by blow destructions on
setting it up on your Blue Washing Machine.
