You could try uninstalling the package and then re-installing it.

1. SSH into your machine
2. su -
3. cd /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers
4. ls -l
5. ./name_of_package.uninst <ENTER>
6. cd /usr/tmp
7. wget http://www.cobalt.com/url_to_package/download/filename.pkg
8. /usr/local/sbin/cobalt_upgrade filename.pkg
