One of my customers has signed up for a service that scans emails before
being delivered. For this to work, I need to change the MX records. No
problem with that. The next section is outside of my knowledge and need
help on. How do I enable the restrictions please?
Inbound Restrictions
It is necessary to configure your mail server to only receive e-mail
from MessageLabs and to deny connections from other sources. The
configurations ranges you must use are:
Accept connection from 194.205.110.*** (subnet mask 255.255.255.224)
Accept connection from 212.125.75.*** (subnet mask
255.255.255.248)
Accept connection from 195.216.***. (subnet mask
255.255.255.0)
Deny Connection from 0.0.0.0 (subnet mask 0.0.0.0)
NOTE: If you do not deny connections from other hosts then you could run
the risk of infection by viruses that send themselves directly to an IP
address.
