[cobalt-users] CobaltRacks.com Nightmare

I apologize in advance to anyone who considers this a nuisance. However,
I feel I may be doing other small business owners a favor by presenting
this information.

I Bradley H Caricofe do hereby attest that:

1. I lease a dedicated Cobalt RaQ3 server from CobaltRacks.com.

2. Said servers operating system was reloaded between 6pm Oct 31, 2001
and 10am Nov 1, 2001.

3. My company has never requested a server operating system reload.

All of the above statements can be proven and are true. When it was
brought to the attention of CobaltRacks.com, no one lifted a finger to
help as our business lay in possible ruins.

Their CEO, NOC manager and technical support staff all promised phone
calls to my company on November 2. None were received.

Not only were we nearly destroyed by this occurence, CobaltRacks.com CEO
Mark Bayliss says his company cannot even prove this happened based on
their logging resources and that he is "taking my word for it". Funny how
the log files on my new OS prove that it happened and my clients who saw
the "Start Button" of a fresh Cobalt OS install on the homepage of my
business have concurred with signed statements.

If you are hosted by CobaltRacks.com, this could happen to you. Imagine
not only losing 100% of the data on your production web servers but having
to resolve the issue entirely on your own, with little or no support from
the host provider.

If you feel the need to reply to this or to relay information to us,
please do so off the list. Thank you.
