Ermmm....yes I did omit them Jonathan, but only because I don't think
they are installed by default on RAQ's. I only informed our colleague of
the editors I *know* are already in there. In fact that said, I missed
one. Upon reflection and further checking...vim is also in there by
default.
I checked a RAQ2, 4 & 4i upon receipt of your post and those two are
definitely not there. Nor are many of the other possible choices such as
(to name only a few, so don't anyone get bent out of shape if their text
editor of choice is absent)
jed
mcedit
joe
nedit
jove
Anyway, nano is only a clone of pico, and pico is standard on every
Sun/Cobalt machine sold (I think!)or at least every Sun/Cobalt machine
I've personally encountered or owned (which doesn't include a RAQ3 or
Qube3 or cacheraq so on those I can't comment since I don't know)
Disclaimer: This is not trolling in order to spark a text editor war. I
have not written one word of support or preference for *any* of the
editors above, and will not mention which one I or any of my colleagues
use daily. So don't start....y'hear???? <laugh> Have a good day
everyone!
Regards,
-Colin
