Hi Jerry,

	Close...

	The html page request is just that. Html pages that were
requested. Realize though that not all such requests generate a log
entry. Pages that are cached in the user's browser are a good
example. Virtually all AOL user views are through their proxie
servers, and many ISPs run proxie servers so while html page request
is indeed just that, the number is pretty well useless except for
gaining a concept of the over all trends.

	Total requests is the number of requests that resulted in
something - anything - being served from your server to the end
user. Nimda is more than likely wrecking havok with this stat but
even if it isn't, the proxie information explained above applies.
This would include images, flash files, MP3s, beer cans, error
pages, porno, etc. Again, the number indicates nothing more than
trends simply because so many proxie servers are in use today.

	Truth be told, perhaps the most accurate indicators of web
site traffic are those Java counters - the ones on which the numbers
just keep rolling by even when the server is down for the count :-)
