Personally, I like the list archives at
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=cobalt-users which already have the features
you describe. The AIMS Group has several hundred mailing lists archived at
their site - very useful. I wish these archives obfuscated email addresses
to slow down email address harvesters and I encourage you to do so if you
make your archives public. Feel free to use/edit my PHP email address
obfuscater at
http://www.befriend.com/code_gallery/php/email_address_cloaker/.
