Sounds like you are typing in
"http://host.somedomain.com/admin" (I presume).
What should happen is you should get a window up (at least in
Opera, Netscape, IE, etc that I have tried) telling you that
the remote system is offering you a security certificate. YOU
MUST ACCEPT THE CERT or the connection will ALWAYS fail...
Once you accept the cert, then it should kick into https mode
(secured) and you should get your little key/lock on your
browser. I have found that some browsers have to empty cache,
close the browser and then re-connect after installing/changing
SSL since they "hold" the last entries/connections and try it
no matter what...
