Hello,
We are getting some strange problems on our raq2. Rebooting temporarily
corrects the problem, but it always returns. These are the errors we
receive in the /var/log/maillog file. I delete the .pop and .lock files
from the /var/spool/mail directory but they immediately return as soon as
the person rechecks their mail. Even if their mail file is empty. ...

Hi Allen,
I have a RaQ2 that mysteriously started showing this exact same behavior
also. It's fixed now and has been for sometime. In my case, is was caused
by a faulty upgrade for qpopper that started the whole thing, and another
upgrade (later) from Cobalt was supposed to fix it.
I would hazard a guess that you are short some patches...only guessing
though so if you're up to date, we'll have to look elsewhere for a fix.
I fixed mine with a temporary patch for qpopper that has since disappeared
from the Cobalt list of patches. But if you make sure to get all the
updates starting from the bottom of the page, this problem should be fixed.
Let me know if you need more detailed info. (check to see what version of
qpopper you're running - after patches it should be 3.0.2)
Diana <---who may try to upgrade to qpopper 4.0...it supports TSL/SSL...:)
