Sorry for the repost but cutomers getting a bit cheesed, so can anyone point
me in the right direction or let me know how to do the following please...
Customer on box wants mail to be picked up by a 3rd party email filtering
server which then distrubutes through their network...
I have received the mx records for the forwarding but need to know how to go
about it :>
The mx details are as follows...
mx1.3rdparty.com
mx2.3rdparty.com
Now I've gone to the GUI's DNS and tried to add 2 seperate mx records as
follows...
host name.. left blank
domain name.. customer_domain.com
mail server... 3rdparty.com
delivery.. high
Saved and saved and restarted services. I then did a nslookup and only one
mx record shows:
Type=MX, Class=1, TTL=86400 (1 Day), RDLENGTH=13 Preference=30, Mail
Exchange=3rdparty.com
I need it to be...
Type=MX1, Class=1, TTL=86400 (1 Day), RDLENGTH=13 Preference=30, Mail
Exchange=3rdparty.com
Type=MX2, Class=1, TTL=86400 (1 Day), RDLENGTH=13 Preference=30, Mail
Exchange=3rdparty.com
So how do I go about this task :> Manually edit or through the GUI
Many thanks in advance
