[cobalt-users] Problems uninstalling the pop before relay patch RAQ3

Hello Everyone,

I was trying to uninstall the pop before smpt patch 
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq3/eng/RaQ3-en-System-4.0.7-9229.pkg
on my Cobalt RAQ3 using the uninstall script
RaQ3-en-System-4.0.7-9229-4.0.7-9229.uninst
and it did not seem to do a good job at the uninstall. 

Now when I try to restart sendmail with
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail restart
It says:
Shutting down Mail Service: Error!
Setting up Mail Service:  sendmail

If I do a:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail stop
It says:
Shutting down Mail Service: Error!
and sendmail remains running.

The web based interface says the patch is already installed and wont let me
install it again.

Has anyone tried this before? How did you fix it?

Can somebody email me the script
RaQ3-en-System-4.0.7-9229-4.0.7-9229.uninst
So that I can see what it did to my system? The last thing this script does
after breaking sendmail is to delete itself.

Also, is there a general explanation somewhere on how the pop before smtp
setup works?

Any chance sun will have an explanation or a fix for this, considering it
is an "official" patch?

Thanks for any help you can provide, I really need to get this mess cleaned up.
