SSH, login as admin and "su - " to become root or SSH directly as root.
Then "passwd", enter the new password, verify it and you're done. Caveat:
if you change the admin password from the GUI then the root password will be
reset to the same as the admin's (or at least that's how it was last time I
tested on a RaQ months ago).
