ImageMagick is actually a collection of programs and libraries, not a module
per se. The programs can be run from the commandline or like any program
can be called from scripts written in Perl, PHP, etc. I installed v5.3.9
(latest at the time) it from source a few months ago on a RaQ4 and it was a
rather difficult install. I believe I first had to install jpeg, tiff,
freetype, libpng and zlib libraries, then ghostscript. I don't recall if
all of those were needed, but for the level of support I wanted built into
ImageMagick they were.
