Debian supports MIPS and MIPSel...You shouldn't have to recompile much, if
anything...

The RaQ2 runs a MIPS chip.  It's NOT intel compatible.  Have fun
recompiling everything, from the kernel to the utilities.  EVERYTHING.

I'd still use a Cobalt Kernel if I were you; the Cobalt is just
non-standard enough to cause you a world of hurt if you don't.
