Hi,
I just reinstalled MySQL, deleted the old directory, then reinstalled via
the GUI, then changed root password in a shell.
This time rather than go through Chilisoft, I (think) I'm just running the
'old fashioned' MySQL way. At the moment I just want to run MySQL / PHP
sites. I don't want to run ASP at all as I assume it will have some effect
on performance, and there may well be security issues. So I was wondering
has anyone done any analysis of running MySQL 'plain' versus MySQL under the
Chilisoft thing. Or have I got the whole concept wrong?
Kind regards,
Liam DelaHunty
