Jay,
I'd recommend trying the raqbackup shell script as a means to get that data
from your RaQ3 to your RaQ4. http://www.dnid.de/cobalt/raqbackup/
It uses the CMU, as well as additional backup routines on its own to back up
all of your site data as well as MySQL and DNS.
Note that while the CMU manual tells you to stop most services and suspend
sites, the raqbackup script does not do this. It is intended to be a
snapshot backup, not a complete migration, and thus there is no need to stop
services or suspend sites. This is ideal for your testing period. Only
when you go to make the final full migration do you need to stop & suspend,
to prevent new data from coming into the server during the migration.
