I hope this question isn't too lame. I'm web site designer/webmaster for a hospital
in Missouri. We have a dedicated Cobalt RAQ at Verio.
When i ran a Web Trends report for September, I got
the following strange entry:

with 1,965 page views or 2.42% of total page views in 2 user sessions
There is no such page. We have www.boone.org/wellaware/recipes.html
and we have www.boone.org/wellaware/recipes/varioushealthyrecipepages.html
What could have caused this? A robot or spider gone loopy. A bad bookmark.
Could it have been malicious? The first time such a thing has come up, so I
thought I'd ask.

Dynamic Pages & Forms = (NIMDA VIRUS ATTACKS)
This section identifies the most popular dynamic pages and forms executed by the server. WebTrends
counts any line with a Post command or a Get command with a "?" as a dynamic page.
In addition, I got the following stats on Dynamic Pages and Forms. I'm aware that each of these
files are searched for
by Nimda, so these were all Nimda attacks. Excuse the weird layout but I just copied text from
chart.
On the first entry for cmd.exe, the 5153 is page views, the percent is percent of total page views
and the 1713 is
user sessions.
My question is this. Since Nimda searches for all these files, are the other nine sets of user
sessions and page
views a subset of the largest or should I add up all the 10 user sessions for dynamic pages to get a
total?
I assumed that the nine were subsets because I hate to think we had almost 20,000 bogus user
sessions.
