Just got this box back from Sun - they replaced the mobo and hard drive on
it, so its pretty much fresh out of the box. I applied ALL the updates to
it, and additionally installed SSH and NeoMail from the .pkg files from
NL. Telnet is turned off.
Yesterday, I did not have any problems sending email from neomail.. stuff
would show up as being from rich@xxxxxxxxxxxx and rich@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
but it still showed the right thing. Now today, when I try to send via
Neomail or PINE from my SSH login, I get some funky errors.. NeoMail still
manages to get the message sent out, but it is showing up as being sent
from rich@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - not rich@xxxxxxxxxxxx or
rich@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx cobalt.dgpi.com is the boxes official name,
ionforce.com being hosted on it.
When in pine, I get the following error on my screen:
[Mailbox vulnerable - directory /var/spool/mail must have 1777 protection]
I am assuming this would indicated that I need to chmod or chown
something.. no idea which ;) (Linux newbie - I know enough to be dangerous)
This didn't happen yesterday... Did I moof something or did someone r00t
my box? *grr*
Thanks to anyone that can help!
