RE: [cobalt-users] copy email solution

Is there a way of copying email (4R) to another address by editing a
file WITHOUT it showing up on the GUI?

Neil

On my Raq3i you would make the change to /etc/aliases as you describe.
The newaliases can be run from the root "/" directory by typing
/usr/sbin/newaliases. Works for me.

As a note, if you try to edit the where the mail is forwarded to through
the interface, and there is more than one address to forward to, the
interface will complain.

Hi all

I have tried to implement a solution for copying emails to multiple
addresses as found in this user group (solution pasted below)

Anyway, my preferred solution is to add a line to /etc/aliases:
username1: username1,username2
and then type the command "newaliases".

but I do not seem to have an "aliases" nor an "aliases.db" file in my
../etc/ directory as in other linux servers

am I in the wrong directory or something
