[cobalt-users] RaQ requesting DNS from firewall

I have a persistent annoying issue with our RaQ4i's DNS service apparently
requesting DNS records (UDP) from our firewall. I have no idea why it might
be doing this!

The RaQ uses private range IP addresses - these are mapped to public
addresses via NAT on the firewall. In the RaQ's network settings, the
primary DNS server is set to be itself, the secondary is set to be our ISP's
nameserver, and the default gateway is set to the internal IP address of the
firewall.

The firewall has three network cards installed dividing our world into the
office network, the service network (containing the problem RaQ) and the
Internet.

I regularly receive messages from the firewall saying that our DNS server is
requesting a connection to UDP port 53 using the IP address of the network
card set up as the RaQ's gateway (our firewall). Shortly after this I will
normally receive another message from the firewall saying that our ISP's DNS
server (acting as our secondary) has also requested a record(s) using the IP
address visible from the Internet.

Any suggestions or clues? I don't understand why any machines would be
asking our firewall for DNS records! Thanks in advance.
