[cobalt-users] Mailing Lists and Removing Domains from "Relay" Field

Hi Group,

First I want to thank everyone for your recent
tips/help with stopping spammers from targeting my
users and machine.

I've decided to go one step further and remove SMTP
relay's from my customer's as I just feel it's time
for a policy change and they should be using their
ISP's for this anyway. I did install the new NeoMail
package, so they can still send from the webmail
interface if they're traveling and for some reason
can't use their normal dialup for SMTP. But before I
go making drastic changes, I'm curious if by removing
a domain that's listed in the "relay" field (a domain
on the system), will that effect the domain's ability
to use any mailing list(s) they might have setup and
running? I'm going to send out a notice to everyone
telling them to make sure they're SMTP settings point
to their ISP(s); but I got to thinking about the few
sites that have mailing lists on the server and was
wondering if removing them from the "relay" field
would cause any problems with their mailing list<?>

Thanks again for all your help. I'm slowly making my
system one hard box for spammers to target and use.
:-)

Barbara
