I am getting pretty desperate now. I am trying to bring my Raq3i up to date
and cannot seem to get past RaQ3-All-Security-3.0.1-8061.pkg update (glibc).
I have tried everything I possibly know to do. I have ftp'd from a telnet
prompt and downloaded directly from the cobalt ftp server, thinking I might
have corrupted the file downloading via http.
I have the pkg file in the /home/packages directory and when I try to
install it I get the error message "Problem installing package component:
glibc-2.1.3-21.i386.rpm". If I ignore this update, the next OS upgrade
requires the installation of this pkg or it fails. Can I do this from the
command prompt manually? Any clues as to why I receive this error?
The interface reports the following software currently installed:
All-Kernel_i386 Release 1.1
Cobalt OS Release 5.0
RaQ3-All-System Release 3.0.1-6168
RaQ3-All-System Release 3.0.1-6453
RaQ3-en-OSUpdate Release 3.0
Thanks for any help.
