top-posting. (Subscribe to the digest or read some of the archive to see

When you signed up for this list, you should have received the META FAQ
which points to the archive. If you checked those log entries there, you
would have seen a lot of discussion and answers to your original question.

The same reason you posted about it. Error logs fill with attempts as the
machines trying don't check to see if they're attacking an IIS or Unix box.
