Has your client tried a passive ftp connection.?
If it is a firewall issue then this may get around it.
Some FTP clients default to an "session" this requires the FTP server to
connect back to the client. Most
firewalls will block this behavior. A dial-up connection would not have this
behavior. Also if your client
has a DSL modem that is utilizing NAT. Active ftp will not work without some
hacks.
