I have done it on my box, exactly like that.. After editing the
/etc/mail/aliases file you have to run "newaliases" and bam, done.. I have
done it so that my boss doesn't receive the root messages.. We just
recently switched to a Cobalt RaQ4r and he insisted on using his "admin@"
email address still, so I changed it so that all messages to "root" or
system messages get sent to "webmaster" now, plus it's more secure than
checking the "admin" account every minute for new mail and have it send my
password out there to be sniffed...
