I've tried asking sun for support but getting nowhere, so just hope
someone here can help me.
I'm having major problems on my Qube2 and receiving MIME attachments. I
have a user account, say "carl", and got my qube, checking 4 different
ISP accounts and putting all the email in the local "carl" account, this
works, no problems at all.
My issue is receiving MIME attachments, it just won't do it, I keep
getting the message that my mail client cannot read MIME attachments.
This simply isn't the case, I've used Eudora, Outlook 2000 and Outlook
XP and read the mail from my ISP and the attachmetns are fine, try to
read from the qube, and the attachments have gone.
Now if I check the /var/spool/mail folder and actually view the file for
"carl" the message in there even say's my mail client doesn't support
MIME?
I've set the maxsize param to 4000000 (can't remember where now.. Doh!)
so it's not that, I'm just fumbling around now, no idea what to try
next, I've re-compiled procmail, sendmail and fetchmail, none of which
made a difference, althoguh I suspect the problem is fetchmail related
since I tried the option to take from ISP and send to another SMTP
server (another ISP) and instead of sending the message with attachmetns
it just sent this MIME message again.
However the fetchmail authors claim that it's 100% not their problem
since they don't play around with message bodies at all.
Any help at all would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
// Carl Jones
