Remember you can still be scanned and the port discovered and used, I
suggest that everyone trying running nmap and point at their system.
You can find it at www.insecure.org/nmap I believe.
When you scan a windows box or most networks you'll be MOST terrified. Be
sure to scan your own net or those you have permission to scan and not just
indiscriminately.

|First thing to check -- have you enabled anonymous ftp ?

|If so, you've not been hacked, it's just users finding a fast machine, and

=============
I used to get dozens of anonymous ftp probes a day. I have it disabled, but
lots of people keep trying anyway, some with ten or more probes per second.
Since I am the main user of my server, I just moved ftp to a different port
and changed the config on my client (Dreamweaver). Now I worry less about
an ftp exploit. :-)
