Hi rapheal,

What you could use is this string

system("perl -e 'crypt($password, $salt);'");

and add this directly into the password file, take a look at how Cobalt do
it in their User.pm module located in /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.003/Cobalt.

At least on a RaQ3.
