that's your right to disagree - banks and financial institutions were always early adopters, IBM mainframes and then later unix and AS/400 - perhaps you might miss that if you didn't work in the industries - I did. They needed large number crunchers and batch processing - NT and the johnny come lately's weren't around when I they started needing this. Hence my assertation that the financial industries would have had the computing power without windoze.
I wrote for green screen - VT/100 and before - when I first started, we didn't have PCs as terminals -merely terminals - I still say *I* would have a job without windoze.
