My 2 cents.
If you want a quick and simple webmail system you can use neomail instead.
Cobalt has a package and it installs in seconds. http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/
I currently testing neomail, but have had SquirrelMail running on a RAQ4 for
almost a year now.
Neomail uses PERL and SquirrelMail uses PHP. I know PHP so I went with
SquirrelMail. You can find both on SourceForge.
