Hi !
I wonder if anyone has come across this before :
In the error log file :
[Fri Sep 21 14:02:59 2001] [crit] [client 62.254.0.6] configuration error:
couldn't check user. No user file?: /logs/
Generated from a .htaccess of :
order allow,deny
allow from all
AuthPAM_Enabled off
AuthName "Lifepoliciesdirect secure area"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile
/home/sites/www.mysite.co.uk/web/cgi-bin/htp/.htpasswd
<LIMIT GET PUT POST>
require valid-user
</LIMIT>
I commented out the <LIMIT GET PUT POST> and </LIMIT> lines to no avail.
The paths to the files do exist.
All I get in the browser is a 500 Internal Server Error, and the bizzare
message above in the error log for apache.
I'm very confused as my bog-standard .htaccess seems to work elsewhere.
