Yes. Know this well. Don't know solution, but know workaround.

Mac users will need Netscape 4.7 for SSL work beyond fully MS acknowledged
certificates - the security, Java engine and SSL handling in MSIE-Mac is
IMHO very iffy. Not that Netscape is panacea either - the trouble is that
Netscape renders text far smaller than MSIE (72dpi into 96dpi), making some
MSIE styled sites using size="1" text hard to read, therefore leading to
assorted moans from the Mac camp. Tough. :-)

Mac users have to have both: where one fails, the other will work.
