Hi,
I recently purchased a Qube3 to act as a the central gateway for our office network. Everything installed without any problems, and the majority of the Internet is available for use.
However, certain websites (with no apparant pattern) remain unreachable using standard desktop clients (these include www.go-fly.com and www.club.nokia.com). If I ping these sites, then no response is returned; If I telnet to them on port 80, enter 'GET /', then they return their index pages as one would expect. Also, if I use the lynx browser, then it can retrieve these sites successfully.
I've tried searching the archives, and been in touch with Sun Cobalt support, but with no joy so far (still waiting on a response from Sun Cobalt after latest round of info sharing).
FYI, our network uses IP addresses 192.168.0.x, with a netmask of 255.255.0.0. We are using an analogue modem dial-up (while we wait for cable modem to be installed).
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Dave
