I`ve been through all this (but on a RAQ 4) and spent much time sorting stuff on the server... but if you are able to speak to the users who had difficulties ask them if they are using MSIE versions 5.0029 or 5.0030 ( a flawed browser)
As far as I can make out whatever you do you will never fix it for these particular users.. (I may be wrong though)
Every problem I had reported to me involved these browsers and their inability to handle the 128bit security.
I gave up in the end and put a note on the site and some alternate links.
If this is not the case I can dig out the notes and point you to the server stuff.
By the way Thawte have an excellent 'live' helpdesk on their website.
