I found this on another forum and it worked for me.

Here is an easier way, you have two options:

A.

create a .htaccess file in your /web folder and put the line

Options -Indexes

OR

B.

Edit httpd.conf and file your VirtualHost section and add

Options -Indexes

save & exit..

restart apache.. and its done.

Have you tried taking a look on the Apache Website ??
or another very usefull friend of a RaQ administrator is the O'Reilly
"Apache" book. Especially the later one is really usefull.
