We're in multiple locations now (effective yesterday <smile>). West
Coast and East Coast. Unless the hurricane hits at the same time as the
earthquake, we're covered.

How do you know if it's your monitoring system that's down? Simple...
if one site doesn't respond, it's the site. If a bunch of site's don't
respond, it's your connectivity or service.

Actually, failsafe monitoring is much easier than you'd think.

I was even thinking of offering guaranteed uptime sites with locations
on both coasts and a responsive DNS. But then I noticed one of our
other esteemed list members is already doing it.
