[cobalt-users] Confusion over MySQL 3.23.37

Hi,

Just went to http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/packages/raq/4/ and looked at the
install for MySQL 3.23.37.

Now either I am reading the notes wrong, or they do not make sense, but
I have a couple of questions....

The notes say

'This package will upgrade over the older 3.22.32 and 3.23.36 pkg.
Uninstall the older version first - See the UnInstall-How-To ( run the
uninstaller script at
/var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers/MySQL-3.22.32-1.uninst or
/var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers/MySQL-3.23.36-1.uninst)
Next, install the newer version as it will retain your data that is
located in /home/mysql
If Chili!Soft ASP is detected, it will upgrade the ASP MySQL driver to
support 3.23 databases. Valid only for Chili!ASP 3.5.2 (not 3.5.01a or
3.6) on all RaQ4s and upgraded RaQ3s. Please ensure that all ASP updates
are installed on your RaQs.'

Now 1) It says this will upgrade over the older 3.22.32 / 3.23.36, but
then it says uninstall the older version first! Which is correct??

2) If one has ChiliASp 3.5.01a or 3.6, does it mean that one should not
upgrade, or that it will not upgrade the Asp MySQL driver to support
3.23 databases??

Regards,

Ian.
