unfortunately, i can't help you configure pcanywhere, but i do have quite a
bit of experience with portfwd now, so i may be able to help with that.
first, are you sure that portfwd is running?
type "pidof portfwd" and it should return a series of id's if portfwd
is in fact running or if you used the binary rpm to install it, you can
also type "/etc/rc.d/init.d/portfwd status" to see if it is running.
second, have you opened a hole in your firewall for the relevant ports?
check your incoming and outgoing rules firewall rules, i believe that
the relevant ports you will need to open are (as listed in
http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/tips/urls/txt/port_numbers):
5631/tcp pcANYWHEREdata
5631/udp pcANYWHEREdata
5632/tcp pcANYWHEREstat
5632/udp pcANYWHEREstat
and lastly, how about posting your portfwd config file so we can take a look
at how you have that set up.
mikey.
