I have a new Qube 3 and am trying to establish an external connection
using an Eicon Diva T/A ISDN modem. We have 128k ISDN service, also newly
installed. The users manual for the qube has very little detail about
using ISDN modems, which led us to believe that using it would be
trivial. However, when I configure the secondary interface for ISDN, then
save and test, the test fails, telling me that the qube does not think the
modem is connected, to check cables, etc. Of course, the leds on the modem
are flashing when the test is underway, indicating that the Qube is
sending data to the modem. We have been able to establish a connection to
the modem using a Windows 2000 laptop and the software that came along
with the modem, so the modem is functioning, but we do want to use the
Qube as our internet gateway. The modem appears to be functioning in
autospid mode, at least based on the behavior of the leds on the front
panel. I've looked at the knowledge base and the complete archives of the
cobalt-users list, but all I've determined is that lots of people are
using ISDN modems. Can anyone point me at the appropriate document to help
me out of this problem?
