This is probably an old question, but how much can I edit the httpd.conf
file without causing problems.
I have noticed that when you create aliases for sites it also adds in a
rewrite rule to redirect back to the main url for that virtual host. This
is not the behaviour I want and I would like to comment out that line, but I
dont know what sort of problems that may cause.
In general, where can I find detailed documentation about modifying the
config files manually? I come from a FreeBSD background where I previously
did everything manually. Presently I am finding the cobalt GUI extremely
restrictive.
TIA
Tom
