Caught ya,
edit this command
more /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf | grep www.mydomain.com
and you'll see that the virtual site entry will turn up :-))
It's just that they are hidden at the bottom of the REALLY long file.
You might also want to try
tail -n 500 /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
