[cobalt-users] Mysql uninstall help

Hello.

I did something rather dumb last night.

I decided to upgrade Mysql last night. I previously had 3.22.32-1 and
wanted to upgrade to the 3.23.37.

I forgot it wasn't a package. So I first went into my gui software listing
to uninstall it. It's not there, nor in uninstallers. I did a search for
the mysql by doing a locate MySQL-client-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm, could not find
it anywhere. I also tried MySQL-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm; with all files I
installed. No luck. So; I proceeded to remove mysql manually. I did a
locate mysql and removed anything related to mysql; except for these files:

/usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so
/usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.6
/usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.6.0.0
/usr/local/lib/php/DB/mysql.php
/usr/man/man1/mysql.1

I then tried to install the 3.23.37 pkg from the Sun site thru the GUI; and
got an error. Went back and reread documentation; and thought the reason it
wouldn't install was because maybe it was involved with ASP; which I do not
have installed.

I rebooted.

So for giggles; I decided to try to put the old version back on following
the instructions from the archives.

Now I get: rpm -Uvh
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.net/pub/experimental/raq3/MySQL-client-3.22.32-1.i386.rp
m
Retrieving
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.net/pub/experimental/raq3/MySQL-client-3.22.32-1.i386.rp
m
package MySQL-client-3.22.32-1 is already installed.

I get this with all of the mysql rpms from the site.

I've tried everything I can think of to find these rpms; and they are no
where that I can find on the cobalt.

Does anyone have a clue as to where I can look for these ghost files? Or a
file I can edit so the machine won't think it's there?

Thanks;
