Hi Jim
It may have been a typo if it was about UK2.
Their RaQ3 dedicated servers have been going for about
a year. I got mine last October for £1044 + VAT.
The spec and price have changed slightly since then
and it's currently £900 + £199 set up fee + VAT @ 17.5%
That's for 3 years, payable in advance.
'Ownership' hasn't been without its challenges
but the price it's very good.
I'm sure you can pay a lot more for challenges :o)
You can also pay extra for a Support Contract, (as I did),
but I don't recommend it as there's a good independent,
vociferous and very helpful support group (about 400 members)
with it's own knowledgebase etc....
http://www.uk2raq.com/
The raqs come with 64mb ram which is fine. To have 256mb
fitted costs another £256 + VAT which is expensive.
However UK2 have a discount offer to upgrade for £120 +VAT
which you won't read about on their website.
It probably won't be available long as it's a block deal.
That's to say it's for a minimum of 50 raqs.
The support group (who came up with the idea and put it to UK2
who subsequently agreed) are collating details.
(33 have already registered after 2 days).
If 100 sign up then the price comes down by another £20 + Vat.
For UK2 raq3 'leasers' who don't know about it
(600 don't even know about the support group) see
