[cobalt-users] Samba access from LAN

My cobalt RaQ3 is on the Internet via a routable IP address with a class C
subnet. My W2K server (PDC) has two NIC's, one for our internal LAN and the
other for the same type routable IP and subnet mask as the RaQ. My
workstation is using DHCP from the router obtaining an IP from the internal
LAN network. I can see my Cobalt Samba shares from the W2K server, no
problem, but cannot from the workstation, which is on a different subnet.
Note my RaQ3 does not have a second NIC. Does anyone know how I can access
the Samba server on the RaQ from my workstation. I tried to get the Samba
server to join the domain of the W2K server, but I get an error:
[root@domain /]# smbpasswd -j W2K_DOMAIN -r DOMAIN_PDC
WARNING: The "alternate permissions"option is deprecated
modify_trust_password: machine DOMAIN_PDC isn't in user level security mode
2001/08/17 19:02:22 : change_trust_account_password: Failed to change
password for domain W2K_DOMAIN.
Unable to join domain W2K_DOMAIN.
Thanks for any help:)
