Re: [cobalt-users] Mail Disk Usage

I am having a problem with my virtual site hostings. I have created
hosting accounts with 30 MB disk space, and now it is filled with User
Emails. Is there any way to move E-Mail space to another partition, and
make this 30 MB only for web hosting ? Any configuration in sendmail,
etc.....

Not that I have seen! The site quota includes both the space for the web site plus for the users own web space / POP3 mailboxes.

One "kind-of" solution would be to allocate say 100Mb for the site as a whole and then if you had 5 users - give them 15Mb each. So the users could use a maximum of 5 x 15Mb = 75Mb and that would leave 25Mb for the web site?

Obviously you can change the figures for how much space you want to allocate and for the number of users but the main principle is not to "over-commit" the space - what is probably happening at the moment is that you have allowed a maximum of 30Mb for the whole site but are allowing users up to 20Mb each - once they start using it the space will rapidly fill up and you will hit the overall site quota.

Thanks...
