I run into this every now and then. What I do, and it usually works,
is grab a copy of the web and publish to the hard drive on my
desktop, I then set the counter on the archive copy of the web to
what the counter on the live site reads, and then I publish the web
to the server, selecting the over-write all content option on the
appropriate menu. Once the web is published I open it and do a
rebuild hyperlinks. The counters usually start working again about
then. If not, I disable FrontPage extensions, delete the
postinfo.htm page from the live site, then re-enable FrontPage
extensions and start at step one.

	Be very careful though. FrontPage users tend to possess
little, if any knowledge about the nuances of FrontPage. If there
are any problems in the original web, and there very well may be,
those problems may be componded by this proceedure. In other words,
you could very well trash the web.
