Yes you can first set your dns so that the mail is sent to there ip address
eg they need there own static ip address for the exchnage server
so
this may work
smtp.theredomain.com IN A ipadress of the exchnage server
theredomain.com. IN MX 10 smtp.theredomain.com
therdomain.com. IN MX 20 yourraq3mailserver.com
Now in your sendmail.cf you need to change this line you only need to do
this once
# privacy flags
O PrivacyOptions=goaway
to
# privacy flags
O PrivacyOptions=authwarnings,novrfy,noexpn
as with the goaway it will not queue for unkown domains
also do not set there domain as an accepted domain for email and have no
sendmail alias for it
how it works if ther mail server is online mail goes to there exhange
server if its ofline its queued by your server until theres comes online
and sends the etrn
